Copper and aluminium in 75°, 90° and 110° insulation ratings, plus aerial options. Derating factors include ambient temperature, grouping and soil depth.
Yes. Most tools let you switch between DC, single phase and three phase where relevant.
Yes — printouts include inputs, assumptions and results so you can attach them to quotes, designs and QA packs.
The tools and wording align with common AS/NZS conventions and can be used broadly. Always verify against your local requirements.

We acknowledge the incredible contribution of Don Neal, the creator of CalcWiz. Built in the early 2000s, it helped a generation of electricians simplify complex calculations — back when mobile apps were just a dream of the future.
Juggling between an electrical business and self-taught coding, Don created a tool that earned a loyal following. As Don has now retired, CalcWiz will be maintained by TradePilot Pty Ltd, and we plan to rebuild it into a modern tool while preserving its legacy. Don’s story will live on in our acknowledgements.
Below is a small list of those who’ve contributed over the years. If we’ve missed you, please let us know.
